CP contributor: a first look at my sales
Remember when I told you about being a CP contributor? I got my first Cheque, covering the sale made in the month of November.
I made 4 sales:
- The Quebec flag waved at the St-Jean-Baptiste
- Cardinal Marc Ouellet at the Bouchard-Taylor hearing (2 times)
- A portrait of Grand Chief Max Gros-Louis.
I was pretty confident the Bouchard-Taylor picture (or this other one with Cardinal Ouellet) would be a good seller. It was an important moment of an historic commission. I’m sure this photo will still sell 10 years from now.
I was pretty confident too that my 6 Max Gros-Louis portraits would be a good seller, and this first month proved me right.
The Quebec flag could be used in every story who need an illustration of the nationalist/separatist movement in Quebec, so I think it is something I will sell again in the future.
Yes, it’s “just” 4 sales, but it’s a good start. I can make recurring sale, and this will grow over time as I add new images. This is a neat addition to my current revenue. That will help during month where the phone will ring less often.
