Hey, I’m a father for two months now and I did not flood my blog with photos of him yet. So here is a bunch of photos of our cute little boy.
You should be good for another two months without me bragging about the fact that I have the cutest baby in the whole world.
On February 19, I took the leap of faith. Even though my son was about to come into this world, I decided to quite the security of my day job so I could entirely focus on my photography business.
The graph below represents the evolution of my photo revenue since I started to freelance in 2006 (the stock sales for the month of May is not included yet). The red line represents my net salary when I was working full time as a web programmer.

I’m baffled. Remember my humbling stock experience? It just happened again! Geo Magazine, one of the most prestigious magazines in the world, just bought one of my archive images. Again, my pro gears did not help me. I took the photo, again, long before I turned pro. This time with my first SLR, a first generation Canon Rebel mounted with the cheapo kit lens.
Wow.
One of my picture was selected as the « AOL pictures of the Week » for May 3-9. Sweet!
When you are a in a public place with a 12 days old baby in your arms, you automatically become the center of attention; Everyone look in your direction, everyone talk to you, and look at that little thing you are gently holding. It’s like being Santa Clause: you put a smile in everyone’s face.
Born April 2 at 01h19. 6 pounds and 8 ounces. So much more to say, but I got to go back to the hospital. And get some sleep. 2 hours in the bed after 23 hours up… God!
