In 2008, I photographed the Cartier-Roberval Park archeological site where Gilles Samson was working. Now that it has become an exhibition at Musée de l’Amérique Française in Old Quebec, I took a portrait of Samson with the first item found on the site that lead to the discovery of the first settlement of Quebec City, more than 60 years before the city was founded. The Gazette story is a great piece that you can read here.

Serendipity. « The faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident »
I am not a landscape photographer, but I will jump on the occasion when I stumble into something like this. I was looking at the map on my GPS. It looked like this little town could give me something, and I punched the destination in. That was my payoff.

I was walking with my camera in Ann Arbor (Michigan) Nichols Arboretum and that little kid was there, all innocent, looking at me. Amazing moment.

Pour un magazine basé à Toronto, je devais faire quelques portraits de la chef Marie-Chantal Lepage, du resto l’Espace MC Chef. On m’a aussi demandé de faire quelques images candides de madame Lepage aux cuisine et dans sa boutique et, bien sûr, quelques photos créatives de ses plats.

The ship crashed mid-afternoon with 57 passengers on board and none of them have beeb reported injured.
